The vision of Arubah Community Clinic is to develop a community where health and hope have been restored to those unable to obtain healthcare. As many Oklahomans face losing their insurance, this is especially important.

Walmart offers a community grant to local businesses that work towards the greater good in our local area. Walmart awards local community grants through an open application process, and provides funding directly from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities to local organizations in the United States. We were excited to apply for this grant again and have the opportunity to work with the Walmart team!

After applying, we received an exciting email: Walmart chose us to receive the $1,500 community grant. Hilary Nicholson, Founder of Arubah Community Clinic, stated, “This grant allowed us to hire a nurse as we prepare to expand our hours again due to the Medicaid Dis-enrollment that is affecting over 300,000 Oklahomans.” Susan Scott, Clinic Coordinator, stated, “Walmart’s support helps continue Arubah’s mission to care for our community.”

“We believe that changing the world in a positive way begins with the health and wellness of the individual.” Valerie Renz, Marketing Director, continued. “Our mission is made possible with the support of our community stakeholders like Walmart, as well as fundraising events such as Healthy Laughs, Healthy Lives and our Annual Golf Classic.”
